There are no Lynch names listed in the Tithe Applotments (1823-1837) so it would be interesting to know how they came to be there and whether there was a connection between one of the families listed there. They were Callaghan, Maguire, Magwood, McBryans, Neal (O'Neill variant), Ross and Wiggans (Wiggins). I wonder if it's possible that the Neal (O'Neill) people there had any connection with the ones mentioned in Old Luke Lynch's Obituary.

 

According to local information, the Lynch family who lived at Annagulgan ended up in America and used to come back to see the old homestead in Annagulgan from time to time.
