This headstone is for the Beggan family of Drumacritten. Edward Beggan is Joseph Edward Beggan, son of John Beggan and Susan (nee Lynch). He was always known as Edward.

(Patrick Beggan of Greaghawarren is my Great Great Grandfather. He was born about 1837 in Corraleek townland. Others listed on this gravestone are Patrick's daughter Bridget and her susband John who was also a Beggan (from Knocknalear). Bridget and John's children John and Sarah Jane are also on this headstone).

This is the gravestone of my Great Grandparents John Beggan and susan (nee Lynch). Also of my great aunts Margaret and Sarah Beggan.

*NOTE: This photo was taken by me in 2000 and has since been replaced by the one above which does not mention John Beggan, his wife or his daughters.*

This is the gravestone of my cousin Frank Beggan of Scotstown. His father Patrick Beggan, whose headstone is to the right, was a brother of my Grannie, Susan (Beggan) McConville.

This is the gravestone of my Great Uncle Patrick Beggan, his wife Susan (nee Connolly) and his wife's parents, Michael and Mary Ann Connolly of the town of Scotstown.

Mark McConville is my Uncle). Although it says 1924-1987, Mark died in 1988.

LYNCH

(Patrick Lynch and Ann Flanagan are my Great Great Grandparents. Their daughter Susan married John Beggan of Drumacritten on 2nd Feb 1883 in the Chapel of Clones in County Monaghan).
