Here are some maps I've collected. Some I have found on the internet and others have been donated. Map 1 shows the townlands of Roslea, Co. Fermanagh, which falls under the Parish of Clones. Map 2 shows not only the townlands in Roslea, Clones Parish, but also neighbouring townlands in surrounding Parishes. I hope these maps are of help in establishing exactly where your ancestral townlands lie, as I know that sometimes, it can be very useful to know which townlands are nearby when establishing which families married into which, especially knowing there can be many unrelated families with the same surname. A good searchable site is http://www.seanruad.com/ This site is especially good if you're having trouble deciphering old handwriting as you can get a list of townlands for whole Parishes or counties. All you need do then is scroll down and find possible matches. Map 2 gives you the advantage of being able to see the neighbouring townlands across the borders. Knowing that many families married across the border, I have found this map extremely helpful with my own ancestry. Many thanks to James Mullan and Sean Rooney, who contributed these maps.

A small tip when researching your Roslea folk, from the Parish of Clones is that, there is also a town called Clones, located in Co. Monaghan and this is not to be mistaken for the Parish, some of which is in Roslea and some across the border in Monaghan. I have seen examples of people who have seen Clones mentioned in old records and automatically assumed they need to look in only Monaghan, when indeed their research should be taking them to Roslea.
